Application Process

2018 Application Information.

The 2018 application will be available for registered Foothill students on November 1 through MyPortal.

ADVISORY NOTE: Please read the program application carefully, as important changes have been made for the 2019 application year: 

COMM 2 Interpersonal Communication will be a required prerequisite for the application due in March 2019.   Completion of COMM 2 with a grade of "C" or higher will be required in order to qualify for the lottery.  

Due to the rigorous nature of the program and to ensure the highest possibility of success if accepted, we strongly recommend that all applicants complete their General Education courses prior to applying to the program. Candidates are urged to see a counselor prior to completing their application..

The Radiologic Technology Program is a 22-month program with selective admission. See Prerequisites.

Deadline: Applications are due the first week of March each year (please see the current application for this year's deadline).

Lottery Selection: 22-24 eligible students are randomly drawn and admitted to the program only once a year, beginning with a four-week summer session that starts in mid August.

Note: The Foothill College Radiology program does not have a waiting list and previous Applicants who have previously applied, and wish to reapply, must submit the current application each year.

For a description of the selection process, please read the program application. Final selection is made during May each year, and applicants will be notified by email of acceptance or non-acceptance by mid-June.
