Matt Raivio

Matt Raivio

Matt enters his 8th year of coaching at Foothill and has produced two All-Americans and eleven All-Conference players in his 7 year tender. Previous to Foothill he coached at Northern Arizona University.

Matt was a member of the 2000 and 2001 Owl football teams before he transferred to Northern Arizona, where he was a two time first team big sky selection at center. An Academic All-American both years he earned All-American honors on the football field his senior year.

After completing his bachelor degree in Sociology he went on to play for the Arizona Rattlers of the Arena Football League. He then returned to coach at Northern Arizona and received his Masters in Education, and holds a Masters of Kinesiology from Fresno Pacific. Matt is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with multiple school division one experience.

Matt is married to Tracy Raivio and resides in Palo Alto.

John Lango

Special Teams Coordinator/Safeties and Outside Linebackers Coach
John Lango

Coach Lango has been coaching football for 31 years. 2016 will mark his first at Foothill, after coaching at De Anza College for the last four years.

Longo was the Associate Head Football Coach/Defensive Back Coach and Special Teams Coordinator there at De Anza, at which he was an integral part of the 2012 team that won the NorCal Conference Championship. While at De Anza he has also coached the running backs and defensive line.

Before coaching at De Anza, Coach Lango was the defensive backs coach at Hollister High School. The 2011 Hollister team won the TCAL Championship with an undefeated league record.

Prior to that, Coach Lango was the Head Football Coach at Gavilan College from 2000 to 2010. His teams won the Coast Conference Championships in 2003 and 2006. His 2004 team had the # 1 ranked defense in the state of California, and his 2008 defense was the #4 ranked defense in the state. Both the 2003 and 2004 teams played in post season Bowl games. Coach Lango was the 2003 Coast Conference Coach of the Year. He started coaching at Gavilan in 1997 as an assistant Linebacker coach.

Coach Lango was also the Head Football Coach at Gilroy High School from 1992 to 1996. Both his 1996 and 1995 teams were playoff teams. His first head coaching job was at Andrew Hill High School in San Jose, CA. in 1991. Lango started his coaching career as an assistant coach at Gilroy High School in 1984. He became the Defensive Coordinator at Gilroy in 1990.

He is a graduate of St. Francis High School in Mt. View. He earned his Master’s Degree, Teaching Credential and Bachelor’s Degree from San Jose State University. He has been married to Susan for 31 years, and they have three children: Mike (Who is the Defensive Coordinator at Hollister High School), Tim and Lauren.

Greg Kragen

Greg Kragen

Greg enters his 3rd year coaching with the Owls and has produced multiple all conference players.  Four-year universities are paying attention to his work and 6  defensive lineman have received scholarships to 4-year universities in his 2 years of coaching.

Coach Kragen is a former defensive lineman in the National Football League including three Super Bowls and five championship games. He was selected for the Pro Bowl in 1989 and made the All-Madden team twice. Kragen went to high school at Amador Valley High School in Pleasanton, California and then played college football at Utah State University. His NFL career lasted thirteen years. He played nine seasons for the Broncos followed by a year for the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he was selected by the Carolina Panthers in the 1995 NFL Expansion Draft, and played his final three seasons with that team. He is 226th in all times games played in the NFL, at 200.

Dwayne Eison

Dwayne Eison

Coach Dwayne Eison enters his 1st year as the Owls wide receiver coach. Previous he served as WR/DB coach from 2013-2015 for the The Kings Academy High School. Coach Eison enjoys building the KING in young people just as much as he enjoys football. Coach ICE passion is his way of life. Coach ICE enjoys the best of both worlds. Previous to the Kings Academy, Coach ICE was the Athletic Director of Sports at The 49ers Academy in East Palo Alto from 2007-2009, where we enjoyed a lot of success in the sports of football, soccer and basketball. Won a championship with girls basketball team.

Coach ICE played football at Foothill Junior College (1998-1999) WR/DB and at Menlo College (2000-2001) WR/DB. After playing in college, Coach ICE had tryouts the NFL, AFL AND AFL 2. Coach ICE currently works with young men and women at THE San Mateo County Youth Service Center.

Tarik Hakmi

Quarterbacks Coach
Tarik Hakmi

Tarik returns home to Foothill College as its Quarterbacks Coach. A former Owl during the 2009-2010 season, he helped lead Foothill to an 8-3 record at quarterback, including a 46-23 win in the Silicon Valley Bowl over Delta CC .

After his first season at Foothill, he transferred to Louisiana Tech University where he played Quarterback from 2010-2012 and helped lead the Bulldogs to a WAC Championship in 2011 and a top 10 finish in total offense during the 2012 season.

After completing his degree in Sociology, Tarik had multiple tryouts in the NFL, CFL, and AFL and was a first round pick by the San Antonio Defenders in the NSFL (National Spring Football League) in 2013 and signed with the San Jose Sabercats before the 2014 Arena Football League season.

A Bay Area native and a graduate from Lincoln High School in 2007, where he helped lead the Lions to a 25-4-1 record as a starter. A two-year first team all-league selection and was the starting quarterback for the South team in the 2007 Charlie Wedemeyer All-Star Game.

Michelle Schukraft

Michelle Schukraft, ATC

Michelle begins her 4th season at Foothill College as the Assistant Athletic Trainer for Foothill College.  She was raised in Durham, CA but came to San Jose to earn her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Athletic Training from San Jose State University.
Prior to joining the Foothill Sports Medicine Staff, Michelle worked as a Head Athletic Trainer at Evergreen Valley High School for two years and has been the Head Athletic Trainer for the San Jose Stealth the professional lacrosse team in the Bay Area for the past four years.

Tyler Jamieson

Tyler Jamieson

Tyler "Stats" Jamieson joined the owls in the fall of 2002 and is a graduate of Burlingame High School.  He also does the stats for Burlingame High School varsity basketball and baseball and works in the guest services department for the 2010 world champion SF giants. Hobbies include crocheting and cooking, specialties include complex desserts.  He is currently single and resides in San Mateo.
