Associated Students of Foothill College
As a student of Foothill College, you are also a member of the Associated Students of Foothill College, known as ASFC. Managing the affairs of ASFC is the Campus Council, the official name of your student government. Your Foothill student government includes one president and six vice presidents.
The goal of the council is to give a voice to all Foothill students, enabling them to become an integral part of the college community. The councils major responsibilities include appointing officers and students to campus-wide committees; sharing governance in the development of Foothill College policies and annual budget; adopting and overseeing use of an annual ASFC budget; allocating funds for new programs and projects; student advocacy; and providing and administering a program of activities and services for students.
Whatever your interests, there is a job for you on Campus Council. As representatives of the students, all members of the council put their leadership skills to work.
Any interested student with a minimum GPA of 2.0 and enrolled in at least eight units each quarter is eligible to joining Campus Council. Applications are available in the ASFC student government suite, and the Office of Student Activities.
The weekly meetings of Campus Council are open to all students and staff and are traditionally held Thursdays at 1:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers (lower level, Campus Center). Attend a meeting and see student leadership in action.
