Transfer Center Workshops & Events

To attend any of the workshops, come by the Career/Transfer Center and sign-up in our BLUE Workshop binder.  Or simply call or email (contact info below).  All workshops are located in the Transfer/Career Center in the Student Services Bldg (8100-8300) in room 8329. TAG Workshops UC Irvine and UC Riverside TAG Workshops: These workshops will provide all of the information you need to write a TAG for these two universities.   Remember to bring all unofficial transcripts and any AP score reports if you have them.  Deadline to submit a UC Irvine or Riverside TAG is October 15! Friday, October 2, 1:00 -2:00 p.m., Transfer Center TAG Drop-In Advising:  Drop in to obtain assistance with any TAG.  Thursday, October 1, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., Transfer Center Tuesday, October 13, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., Transfer Center  TAG Workshop: These workshops provide general information on what the TAG is, how it works and to find out if you are eligible.  If you are thinking about applying next year, this workshop is for you!  Also, if you have a any questions about doing a TAG this Fall for UC San Diego, Santa Barbara or Merced, drop in to this workshop.  Remember to bring all of your unofficial transcripts. Thursday, October 1, 10 a.m. -11 a.m., Transfer Center Thursday, October 8, 11 a.m. – 12 noon, Transfer Center Thursday, October 15, 1 p.m. – 2 p.m., Transfer Center UCLA Application Workshop Immediately following the Transfer Fair, the UCLA representative will offer a special admissions workshop and provide tips and strategies for making your UCLA application successful! Wednesday, October 28, 1 p.m. – 2 p.m., Appreciation Hall UCLA Transfer through the Honors/TAP program – Introduction:  This workshop will explain to you how this agreement works and how to apply.  If you are interested in applying to UCLA, you are strongly encouraged to attend! Thursday, October 29, 12 p.m. – 1 p.m., Toyon Room Johnson and Wales Application Workshop: In this workshop, the Johnson and Wales  representative will provide an overview of the application process and answer any questions you may have. Refreshments are included! Wednesday, October 14, 1 p.m. – 2 p.m., Hearthside Lounge UC Santa Cruz Application Workshop: :  In this workshop, the UC Santa Cruz representative will provide an overview of the application process and answer any questions you may have. Tuesday, November 10, 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m., Room 8330 Financing Your College Education – For AB540 students: Many AB540 students are confused about what they are eligible for or not when applying for financial aid.  Come to this workshop to find out! Thursday, October 29, 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m., Toyon Room UC Application Workshop:  In this workshop you will find out how to do the online application for any UC campus and receive instructions for writing the Personal Essay. YOU need to bring copies of your Foothill transcript. If you attended colleges other than Foothill, you must have those transcripts evaluated before you attend a workshop.  You must bring all of your records with you to the workshop.
