Her-Story Making History!
March 16 (Wed.) @ 4:00 p.m.
March 18 (Fri) & 19 (Sat) @ 8:00 p.m.
This course gives a practical experience in the full development of an organic, original production from inception to performance. Under the supervision of the instructor, student leaders guide the group in developing and producing a full-length production consisting of several student-generated short plays or performances of their choice. This may include music, dance, spoken word, puppetry, monologues, improvisation…wherever the imagination goes.
Students can choose to participate in any or all areas including writing, acting, directing, stage managing and all technical positions, lighting design, costume design, scenery and properties design, sound design, make-up design and publicity. Each quarter a theme for the show is chosen from which scripts and performance work is developed. The quarter culminates with several public performances, which are free of charge.
