When to Register for Summer Session 2010

What Kind of Student Are You?

 Continuing Student

You are currently enrolled at Foothill College.
 New Student
You have never enrolled at Foothill College.
Former Student

You have attended Foothill before, but did not enroll the previous quarter.

Continuing Students

Those students who were enrolled at Foothill or De Anza colleges during Spring Quarter 2010.

You may register via the online registration system or by phone registration system. Once registered, your fees are due. You will be dropped from classes if payment in full is not remitted within five days of registration. Pay fees online or by phone.

Registration for Disabled Students, EOPS, etc.: May 27—June 27

Number of units completed at Foothill or De Anza   Dates to Register Online or by Phone:
75 or more units   June 1–June 27
50 or more units   June 2–June 27
30 or more units   June 3–June 27
29 or fewer units   June 4–June 27
∗Units completed at other colleges are not considered for registration.

New & Former Students

Those students who were not enrolled at Foothill or De Anza colleges during Spring Quarter 2010.

You must complete and return the Application for Admission at least three business days before you register. You may then register at www.foothill.edu or by phone. Applications are accepted throughout the registration period. If you are a new student and have not yet completed an associate degree or higher, you are required to participate in an orientation to college course. Once registered, your fees are due. You will be dropped from classes if payment in full is not remitted within five days of registration. Pay fees online or by phone.

Apply Online: Access www.foothill.edu and select Apply & Register. After you submit your application online, you are eligible to register on or after June 7–June 27.

Apply by Mail: If you are unable to apply online, request a paper application by calling (650) 949-7772. Complete and return the application. You may then check www.foothill.edu or call (650) 949-7325 for the date on which you can register.

Apply In Person: Submit the application at either the Main Campus in Los Altos Hills or the Middlefield Campus in Palo Alto.

Late Registration

Late registration is accepted with instructor's add code and signature during the first week of Summer Session only. When you register late, you must pay all fees at the time of registration.

Important Dates & Deadlines

June 28 Summer classes begin. Unless noted in the Schedule of Classes, courses run six weeks.
June 28–July 2 Late registration accepted with instructor’s signature and add code.
July 2 Deadline to drop a class or withdraw and still qualify for a refund.
July 4–5 Independence Day observance. Campus closed; classes do not meet.
July 6 Deadline to drop a five-week class with a W.
July 8 Deadline to drop a six-week class with a W.
July 9 Deadline to file pass/no pass card.
July 9 Deadline to drop a class without a grade.
July 12–Aug. 6 Request refund for classes dropped by July 2.
July 15 Deadline to drop a seven-week class with a W.
July 22 Deadline to drop an eight-week class with a W.
July 29 Deadline to drop a nine-week class with a W.
Aug. 1 Deadline to petition for Summer graduation; schedule a meeting with your Foothill counselor.
Aug. 5 Deadline to drop a 10-week class with a W.
Aug. 12 Deadline to drop an 11-week class with a W.
Aug. 19 Deadline to drop a 12-week class with a W.
