The showcase will focus on a core question:

  • Where does student learning happen in the online environment?

  • How do we present the information that must be learned and then how do we engage students to learn it?

Focus on student equity, and the need to consider many alternative strategies when tackling the challenge of student success for targeted underrepresented groups in online classes.

Format: Four 10-minute presentations of "possibilities" for promoting "learning" in the online environment, followed by break-out sessions to learn more in detail about any one of these and group discussion.

  • Use of Voice Thread by Hilary Gomes

  • Use of Adobe eLearning Tools by Carolyn Brown

  • Student-Facilitated Discussions & Debates by Kathryn Maurer

  • CCCconfer for Online Engagement by Kate Jordahl

Refreshments will be served.
