Foothill Authors Series: Doren Robbins
Author Will Read Title to Pussy Riot

The Foothill Authors Series presents Doren Robbins, author of  Title to Pussy Riot April 22 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. in the Hearthside Lounge (Room 2313). Admission is free. Staff and faculty earn PGA/PAA credit for attending. Authors Series books are available at the Foothill College Bookstore, and can be purchased at a 20-percent discount. The reading is co-sponsored by the Foothill College Asian Pacific Islanders Heritage Month celebration.

Title to Pussy Riot, a chapbook, includes seven new poems by Robbins. His poems are full of rancor, rebellion and a demand for social justice. His presentation will include reading with two former and one current Foothill College creative writers Lisa Baker, Steven Kineinger and Christopher Vaquerano.

About the Author—Doren Robbins has been a teacher of creative writing, poetry, English composition, Shakespeare and multicultural literature since 1991 at the University of Iowa, UCLA, East Los Angeles Community College and California State University, Dominguez Hills. He has been awarded three times by the Foothill College Honors Institute for his teaching. Currently, he is a creative writing and literature instructor at Foothill College. Robbins served as director of the Foothill College Writers Conference 2003, 2006–2008.
