Advanced Tax Accounting Series
Expand your financial accounting experience and add tax accounting to your resume by enrolling in the three-course ACTG 68A-C Advanced Tax Accounting series. The series will help prepare you to take the Enrolled Agent Exam administered by the Internal Revenue Service. The first course, ACTG 68A, focuses on current federal income tax law as it relates to sole proprietorships and partnerships. The ACTG 68B and 68C courses will be offered online this summer. The courses fulfill general CPA education requirements and continuing professional education requirements for CPAs and EAs.

.NET Software Development Certification Training
Over the next year, Foothill will introduce a series of courses to assist software developers to train for passing Microsoft MSCD and MCAD certification. These courses will cover various aspects of Visual Basic.NET, C# and MS SQL Server, and will involve a mix of both online and in-person classes. This spring, enroll in the online CIS 12A: Introduction to Visual Basic.NET (5 Units), CIS 12C: Visual Basic.NET Intermediate Concepts (5 Units) and CIS 19P: Advanced C# (5 Units) courses. Additional certification-oriented training classes, including ASP.NET courses, will be added in future quarters.

Graphic Design & Layout
Explore and experiment with page layout as you combine text and images to create dynamic designs for printed collateral. The four-unit GRDS 92: Graphic Design & Layout course is a fun, hands-on class with creative exercises that give you the opportunity to apply design principles, communication theory, and layout techniques to a variety of formats, including business cards, newsletters and brochures. Learn and expand your creative problem-solving skills while designing and producing professional quality communication solutions.

Motion Graphics: A Must for Professional Designers
Learn how to maximize graphics software to create video effects, animation, and anything that moves in the digital video world by enrolling in the four-unit GRDS 87: Motion Graphics course. You'll learn to use the Adobe After Effects application for broadcast design, film, Web video and other media. The course is a must for working design professionals who want to improve their skills set.

Advanced Adobe Photoshop
The three-unit CAST 92B: Advanced Photoshop course is designed for a variety of users, including Web designers, artists, illustrators, designers and photographers. You'll learn advanced compositing, use of masking techniques and color correction, monitor calibration and printing, various useful techniques in the Your Choice section, and new Creative Suite application features.

Pharmacology in Dentistry
The two-unit D H 56: Applied Pharmacology in Dentistry course offers a study of drugs by groups, with special emphasis on those used in dentistry, including their physical and chemical properties, dosage and therapeutic effects. You must have completed the BIOL 46 or D H 61A course, or be a licensed dental hygienist or dentist.
