The Foothill College Travel Careers Program can help you get where you want to go in the travel industry. We offer a five-tier career certificate program to help you achieve your travel career goals.

This fall, we’re offering a variety of travel careers courses, including introduction to travel careers, Tourism in North America, Global Tourism, Selling Domestic Travel, Selling Group Travel, Travel Sales Techniques, Travel Online (SABRE), Air Ticketing: North America, and Africa Destination Specialist. Become a Personal Fitness Trainer

Become a Personal Fitness TrainerFoothill now offers a Personal Fitness Trainer Certification Program. The 28-unit program is designed to prepare you for various career opportunities in the health and fitness industry, or to become self-employed in fitness training and consultation.

You’ll enroll in a variety of human performance and health courses that emphasize the relationship between exercise physiology and training, injury prevention and rehabilitation, and nutrition and lifestyle behavior modification. You will also have the opportunity to work with clients through an internship at the Foothill College Wellness Center.

Course Spotlights Marriage & Family

There's More to Do After You Say "I Do"

Whether you’re a newlywed, ready to start a family or want a stimulating course that meets degree and transfer requirements, you can learn more about the social influences that affect American expressions of intimate lifestyles related to relationships, marriage and family systems by enrolling in the four-unit SOC 40: Aspects of Marriage & Family course.

By using methods of social research, you will examine theoretical and empirical studies conducted by family sociologists. The course meets the requirement for the Foothill associate degree as well as the IGETC and CSU general education breadth requirements.

Go Behind the Scenes of American Cinema

Discover the inner workings of Hollywood’s cinema star and studio systems by enrolling in the four-unit Film/TV 3: American Cinema course. In addition to viewing and discussing the most significant films in the history of these movies, you’ll examine the historic, economic and cultural background that forms the American cinema. The class meets Thursdays, from 6 to 9:40 p.m.


CISCO Academy Now at Middlefield Campus

This quarter, Foothill debuts its new CISCO Academy at our Middlefield Campus in Palo Alto. You can also study A+ certification, MCSE 2000 PRO and XP certification.
