If your goal is to develop a full range of computer networking expertise, the Foothill College Computer Networking & Electronics (CNET) Department can help you realize your goal. The department offers an AS degree in Enterprise Networking as well as certificate programs in all major areas of the discipline.

Offered in conjunction with local industry, these programs include hands-on instruction with industry-standard equipment, providing the student with an excellent foundation in all aspects of computer networking.

The Enterprise Networking Program (2007-08)

Students will be prepared to perform numerous data communications and telecommunications tasks, including specification preparation, network management, data communications center management, network design, equipment and systems sales, and software development.

Classes are tailored to assist students with limited current technical background as well as those who are currently employed in the computer and data communications industry.

Related career opportunities include data communications, marketing, system design, specification writing, technical manual writing, data center control, network management, sales, diagnostics development and software programming.

The associate degree can be completed in approximately two years. Certificate programs range between 6 and 15 months.
