The Early Childhood Leadership Institute at Foothill College Presents
A Center Visit through the Eyes of a Licensing Analyst
A presentation by Scott H. Herring, Northern California Child Care Advocate for Community Care Licensing.
As Child Care Advocate, Scott provides information to the public, providers and parents regarding child care
license regulations, policies and procedures. He serves as liaison to business, education groups, child care
providers groups, and resource and referral agencies.
Scott's mission is to provide a link between child care licensing and the community. Scott will provide
insight into what the licensing analyst looks for when entering your center, the tour, consultation
and expectations concerning the visit outcome.
