Career Focus Speaker Series

The Career Focus speakers series, sponsored by the Foothill College Career Center, features industry professionals providing informative discussions, personal experiences, and practical advice. The Career Center focuses on helping students choose a major as well as preparing them to enter the work force. By attending Career Focus presentations, you'll gain new insight into the real world of work, learn the pros and cons about a particular career, and make educated decisions about entering a profession or obtaining further education.

Dr. Munroe will be available for a one-hour Open House to counsel pre-optometry and pre-med students. Dr. Munroe will help you understand the admissions process and plan your strategy to be the most competitive applicant you can be. She will answer questions about the admissions process, how to increase your competitiveness as an applicant, shadowing and the interview process. Optometry is a growing profession.

Kevin Holmes has been the Director of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) at Santa Clara University since September 2005. With the guidance and support of the CIE Advisory Board and Founders Club, Kevin sets the strategic direction of the Center while overseeing the development of programming and services. Named one of the Silicon Valley's 40 Under 40 by the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal, Kevin serves as an Advisory Board member of the Santa Clara University School of Engineering and the Foothill Entrepreneur Center. This is a great opportunity for students who are interested in transferring to Santa Clara University to obtain more information.
